Juneteenth Cultural Celebration 2026

The 3rd annual Juneteenth celebration, which highlights community events, will take place in the heart of Franklin city. Once part of Southampton County, the organizers note that Franklin is home to two of the most famous slaves in American history, Nat Turner and Dred Scott. Located 40 miles west of Norfolk and nine miles north of the North Carolina border, this event will also feature a cultural booklet to enrich the experience.
